Léontine Soulier
With pencil in hand, Leontine nervously wades through the vegetation. An animal, a body, two naked bodies inter-twined, plants that come and go… A little humour softens what may seem shocking, not taking it seriously, not giving a damn – making it cute, but not really.
Armed only with pencils, Léontine nervously wades through the vegetation, sometimes stumbling on a cloud to discover naked bodies intertwined. Without taboos she ambles through daily life, catching its scenes and mixing them in her daytime imagination. We will often find the subjects enjoyable at first glance, and then taking a better look we may find a little hidden perversity (or not). Her animals, her children, her plants in all her scenes. A little humour softens what may seem shocking, not taking it seriously, not giving a damn – making it cute, but not really.
